When we sin….

what God does is completely astounding. A person cannot fathom the impact that it has on future relationships and the relationship with God.

When we sin it is not that God will do nothing. As a matter of fact, God will do anything to have us turn back to Him.

So He does something.

What does He do? Well, what He does is in fact the only thing that He can do.

He loves us! He continues to love us. Now doesn’t that just knock your socks off. How can one – in this case, God – continue to love us the sinners that we are and continue to be today. The floodgates of His wrath, which are being held back by His hand, are ready to burst open and come bursting forth with rapids so fierce that they leave destruction and death where ever they may flow. Yet He continues to love us. He even goes so far as to build His plan of redemption around non-other then His one and only Son. We just got finished celebrating Easter and what that means to those who believe in Jesus Christ. The Crucifixion and the shedding of His blood on the cross has a great deal to do with the relationship that Jesus had with His Father while He was up there on that cross.

Now before I continue, let me say clearly that I am not a scholar nor am I a theologian. I am not even a Most Reverend but am merely a believer in Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. Now, that said let me continue where I left off.

The relationship between God and Jesus – the Father and His Son – was severed for a brief moment so that the shackles and hold of sin, the sin of the whole world and for all time, could be put on Jesus and crushed in the bowels of the earth and overcome by the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Crucifixion and the Resurrection are the consummation of God’s plan of redemption for the restoration of the sinner after Jesus’ rising from the dead. What a thought to reflect on, that one man did this for the whole of mankind so that God could have a relationship with us and we could have a relationship with God.

That right there is the will of God for all of us. That we would have a relationship with Him but He cannot be around sin – only Jesus and the Holy Spirit could do that. The days are coming and the time is short when God will say “Enough” and He will have His day and unleash His wrath upon mankind and the earth. It is sad to think that there are still some holdout’s who want nothing to do with God, the creator of heaven and earth.

Now, out of all the axioms and precepts that there are there is one constant, one absolute that stands taller than the rest and that is this. God does nothing without a reason. Everything He does is for the glorification and manifestation of His name here on earth through our lives. We are ambassadors for Christ.
